Dog Parks in Downtown

Come. Sit. Stay. Play!
Downtown Long Beach is home to two newly opened dog parks. All residents, visitors and business owners are invited to take advantage of these new facilities. A list of rules is provided below. If you have any questions, please call the DLBA at (562) 436-4259.
Two Dog Park Locations:
Lincoln Dog Park - South West Corner of Broadway and Pacific Avenue
K-9 Corner - North East Corner of 9th Street and Pacific Avenue
Dog Park Rules:
- Hours: 6:00 am - Dusk
- Dogs must have a current City of Long Beach dog license, and be current on all vaccinations.
- Dogs should wear owner identification tag at all times.
- Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the park.
- Dog owners must be in the park and in view of their dogs at all times.
- For the safety of your dog and park visitors, choke, pinch and spike collars are prohibited.
- Children under the age of 16 are not permitted unless accompanied by an adult. Children shall not run, shout, scream, wave their arms, or otherwise excite or antagonize the dogs.
- Aggressive dogs are not permitted.
- Female dogs in heat are prohibited.
- Owner must clean up dog feces and properly dispose in designated receptacles.
- Professional dog handlers are limited to a maximum of three (3) dogs.
- Professional dog trainers may not use the site to conduct classes or individual instruction.
- Owners shall otherwise comply with all rules governing the parks and relevant park regulations.
- Use of dog park by any dog shall constitute implied consent of the dog's owner to all regulation and shall constitute a waiver of liability to the city of Long Beach and an agreement to protect, defend, indemnify and hold harmless the city of Long Beach, its officials and employees for any injury or damage caused by a dog when the dog is not on its leash.
